Touristdoc is available everywhere in the world and therefore it’s possible for doctors and practices to join in every corner of the world.
You can call us if you want to visit our clinic or if you want a doctor to come to your home, hotel room or Airbnb. If there’s not a life threatening situation a general practitioner will normally be the first doctor to call in the Netherlands.
If there is a life threatening situation call the local emergency telephone number.
Payments are always made through our website. For payments by credit card an additional €5 per transaction fee applies. All major credit card companies are accepted. We provide a detailed invoice for reimbursement. In most cases your insurance company will reimburse these costs. Some affiliated insurance companies will provide a GOP (guarantee of payment). In those cases Touristdoc will send the invoice directly to your insurance company, so you won’t have to pay at time of service.
Please ask your health or travel insurance to contact us for such an arrangement. If you need a renewal on your existing prescriptions, we can provide a new one. Our doctors are not allowed to prescribe new medications or renewed controlled drugs without a consultation. We will not disclose your personal information without your approval to any other party. Touristdoc partners with doctors across multiple countries, making it easier for tourists to access medical help both in person and through online consultations. Our collaborations include the Doctor on Call group in Portugal, with services available through Porto Doctor on Call and Lisboa Doctor on Call.
